The

Aircraft Remarketing

Aircraft Remarketing
The
need to remarket commercial transport aircraft from time to time
is no longer confined to those who operate them. In today's aviation
market the ranks of aircraft owners include airlines, financial
institutions, lessors, private investors and managed funds.
Cabot
provides comprehensive remarketing programmes for all types of commercial
aircraft to a range of clients that reflects this contemporary spectrum
of aircraft ownership. In
every remarketing programme our objectives are:
*
to identify potential buyers and lessees for the aircraft
*
to be ahead of competitive aircraft
* to obtain the best possible sale price or lease rental, and
* to close the deal in an efficient and timely manner
As
a remarketing programme develops, our clients are provided with
regular updates and reports on the level of progress with specific
potential customers and on general information relating to the market
for the aircraft type. Through the supply of this information we
believe that our clients will be able to build up an accurate picture
of the world market for their aircraft type.
Our
management and remarketing personnel have considerable aircraft
marketing experience having successfully sold or leased numerous
aircraft types to an international cross section of airlines and
other aircraft operators.
1] Aircraft Acquisition
The
acquisition of aircraft is not a daily event in an airline and therefore
in general staff are not specifically dedicated to manage this task.
Most management staff are busy with their day-to-day duties and
do not have spare time to search the market in order to source the
most suitable aircraft for their airline. Additionally the rarity
of aircraft acquisitions means that these managers have not been
able to build up their contacts in the market place and hence be
able to find all of the available aircraft.
Cabot Aviation provides a comprehensive service for all types of
aircraft sourcing and through its network of contacts and its market
knowledge is able to match the most appropriate aircraft to the
requirement. The acquisition of aircraft can either be on a sale,
dry or wet lease basis.
2]
Aircraft Wet Leasing - ACMI or Charter
The
need to wet lease in aircraft is an issue that most airlines face
at some point in their operation. The need can be for a variety
of reasons, including but not limited to:
*
scheduled maintenance of existing fleet
*
seasonal variations in aircraft utilisation
*
late delivery of new aircraft into the fleet
*
ad hoc AOG problems with existing fleet
*
commencement of a new route on a trial basis
Wet
leasing can also be a very efficient interim solution for an airline
which is seeking to obtain its own AOC. An interim wet lease can
ensure that the airline meets its deadlines for the commencement
of operations whilst it continues to process its own AOC application.
Cabot is able to source suitable aircraft for this purpose and to
identify airline partners that might assist new airlines to become
operational in their own right in a shorter period of time.
There
are many circumstances when you have a requirement for an aircraft
and usually "TIME" becomes your greatest enemy and it
is for this reason that our service is provided 24 hours a day,
365 days a year by our multilingual experts who have constant contact
with aircraft providers from around the world.
The
24 hour ACMI contact number is: +44 (0) 7970 943384
Due
to the volume of short term and ACMI business we provide for charter
operators, we can be sure to achieve a more aggresive price than
any airline approaching the charter operator directly would typically
obtain. Access to our personalised database means we can have direct
communication with the right personnel immediately in order to speed
up response and provision of service.
3]

Aircraft Trading
Cabot
has developed an aircraft trading activity that is focused on identifying
opportunities to acquire commercial transport aircraft whose economic
value is greater than their current market value.
Such
aircraft may require refurbishment or conversion to an alternative
utilisation or may simply be perceived as a less popular aircraft
type with a limited market. By applying its commercial, technical
and marketing experience, Cabot aims to realise the differential
between the aircraft's market and economic values.
Cabot
Aviation funds such trading projects through a mix of shareholder
equity, third party project investment and commercial loans.
